I used my dremel tool with a fine disc to carefully cut out for the tail control bracket/rear fin mount. Very clean. Then I mounted the vertical tail fin and viola I was done.
I can't stop staring at it, it's so awesome and beautiful and adds a whole new dimension to my heli.

I ordered a "Monster" style canopy from Yuri in Viet Nam. The entire process was painless and many thanks go to Yuri.
The canopy was painted, Yuri sent me a picture prior to clearing and it looked awesome. They finished clearing it and off it went to Maine via UPS 3 day.
Viet Nam to Thailand, Hong Kong, Alaska, Tennessee, New Hampshire, and then to Maine. The canopy came in what I would call "excellent" packaging! Closed cell foam, paper wrapping, bubble wrap, and a box that was 100% for fit.
Zero damage and it took me about 20 minutes to install on my heli. Boy does this canopy look great!

Custom Blade 550 X canopy by Fusuno Canopy
If you can dream it, they can airbrush it!
I mainly use my Blade 550 X as a 3D student training machine and wanted a canopy that would stand out. So I decided to turn to Fusuno Canopy since I've used Thrm many times in the past on other helicopters I've owned. I really enjoyed the look of Fusuno's new "Crownie" canopy design but was looking to add a little Monster touch. I E-mailed Fusuno my ideas to make a custom canopy one off design for my Blade 550 X and this is what their designers had come up with. They sent me a sketch back just hours after my initial email request. I gladly accepted the design and a few days later they sent me a picture of the canopy in base cost waiting my approval before going to the final clear coat stage. So cool to see an idea I had in my head come to life.
BUILD TIME / SHIPPING
I was amazed at how fast they were able to complete my custom order. From canopy concept design, to paint, to approval, and clear I had my custom canopy in about two weeks. The shipment was very well packed and wrapped insuring that no damage would occur during shipping. They first wrap the canopy in paper, followed by a double layer of bubble wrap, and finish by filling in any voids in the box and canopy with foam peaces. I ordered a custom canopy on October 26th 2013 and I received my order on November 9th 2103.
FIT AND FINISH
The quality is Amazing! The colors are highly visible and really Pop off the canopy. I feel the colors I chose really accent themselves well. The pilot names are not stickers, they are actually painted! Great job Team Fusuno!
CONCLUSION
If you want an affordable, clean, quality canopy why don't you give a Fusuno canopy a try. Whether your looking for a sub micro canopy for a Blade Nano or a 700 nitro canopy Fusuno has you covered! The quality of your products, and outstanding customer service is what keeps me coming back time and time again. I believe this is my fifth canopy and am already thinking about another design for a future canopy.

A big thanks to Fusuno,
after having purchased 2 canopies during 2010 I ordered another 5 different (including "big ones" for 600 PRO and Shape 9.0).
Standard shipping took 2 weeks to Germany and arrived neatly packed without any issues.
Canopies themselves are of fantastic quality that is even very much better than the original parts. Mount the original canopy of the 600 Pro and you will see some cracks in the painting (even little pieces of paint might crack away). This does definitly not happen to these Fusuno's !
Pilot names are not simply stickers but painted !
